AHK has an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner / Laboratory Glassware Cleaner to join our Laboratory Facilities team based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Cleaner / Laboratory Glassware Cleaner will be functionally responsible to the EHS & Facilities Manager ensuring effective and efficient cleaning operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Clean offices, laboratories, toilets, showers, etc using various equipment and methods.


• Polish and dust-offices, reception area, conference rooms, and  corridors.


• Mop floors.


• Ensure all toilets and showers are kept clean and replenished on a regular basis.


• Polish glass on the doors and windows.


• Collect and dispose of trash.  Recycle cardboard.


• Clean and mop the break room. 


• Laboratory Glass washing duties including glass, plastic and PTFE containers used in laboratory operations as per Standard Operating Procedures.


• Report any incidents or accidents.


• Wear personal protective equipment provided by the Company.


• Report any maintenance issues such as light bulb replacement, leaking wash basins etc.


• Ensure safety in the workplace and in this respect ensure compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials/equipment necessary for the performance of his/her tasks.


• Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times.


• Perform safety checks of emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, exit lights.


• To undertake other duties of an appropriate nature in consultation with the EHS & Facilities Manager.


• Daily maintain the hydration stations in a clean manner.

Required Work Experience 

Desirable

• Previous cleaning experience.


• Experience of industrial cleaning.
