Job Title: Cleaning Tech

Department: Commercial/Medical

Location: Traverse City, MI

Direct Supervisor: CSM Account Manager

Wage: $8.50 adjusted based on experience  

This position was established for the purpose/s of providing custodial services at assigned site(s); ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for staff and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; and assisting in preparing facilities for various activities and events.

Duties:

Essential

• Vacuuming Carpet


• Edge Vacuuming


• Dust Moping


• Damp Moping


• Empty Waste Bins


• Fill Dispensers


• Dusting


• Clean and Disinfect Waste Bins and Dispensers


• Clean and Disinfect Sink


• Clean Glass and Mirrors


• Clean and Disinfect Toilets


• Clean and Disinfect Walls, Doors, Partitions and Hand Rails


• Remove Carpet Runners


• Replace Carpet Runners


• Clean and Disinfect Drinking Fountain


• Wipe Dry


• Stainless Steel Cleaning


• Strip and Refinish


• Scrub floors


• Carpet Extracting


• Remove Recyclable paper

Job Specifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent


• Ability to walk or stand for the enitrety of shift (up to 8 hrs consecuitively)


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis


• Ability to carry a 15lb backpack vacuum for up to 2 hrs at a time


• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs of trash on a regular basis


• Ability to shovel snow for up to 2hrs at a time


• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions (summer and winter)


• Ability to work overhead


• Ability to bend,kneel, and squat on a regular basis to clean


• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time efficiently and accurately


• Ability to work some weekend hours and occasional holidays


• Attention to detail


• Ability to work independently or as a group


• Reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Minimum of one year cleaning experience

Contacts:

Depending on the hours assigned to the employee, he/she may be working individually or with a crew. The employee will be expected to respond to the needs requested by the customer as well as the manager for the specific account on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Standards of Performance:

• Meets the client’s need  for 95% of all facilities to be cleaned without complaints each month


• Upholds CSM’s high standard of cleanliness and professionalism


• Arrives on time every day with minimal absences (No absences are without notice)


• All waste is disposed of properly after each clean
