You Get to Give People Good News.
Twin Falls Subaru is hiring a Client Advisor for our Trade Up Advantage program, and here's the honest version of the job: you get to walk up to happy Subaru owners in our service lounge and hand them good news.
Here's how it works. While a guest is in for service, you pull their personalized Trade Up Advantage sheet from Subaru CareConnect, which shows the manufacturer's estimate of what their current Subaru is worth. You sit down with them, and walk them through where they stand: their car has held its value, and they may be closer to a brand-new Subaru than they ever guessed.
You're not chasing anyone. You're not cold-calling, crunching final numbers, or talking financing. When a guest gets curious and wants an exact figure, wants to look at other vehicles, or wants to take the next step, you introduce them to one of our sales reps and let them take it from there. Clean, simple, and everybody stays focused on their role.
Why it works at our store: Subaru owners are some of the most loyal drivers in the business. We have many drivers on their third and fourth car who've serviced with us since their first one. You're the friendly face who starts that conversation during their visit.
This is not a hard-sell seat. Some guests light up right away; plenty take a few days to think it over. If you're genuinely easy to talk to, can strike up a conversation with anyone, and are happy planting seeds without needing an instant win, you'll be great at this.
What You'd Actually Be Doing
A typical day (7:45 to 4:45, Monday through Friday) looks like this:
- Working the service drive and lounge, greeting Subaru owners who are in for service
- Pulling each guest's Trade Up Advantage sheet from CareConnect and walking them through it in plain, friendly language
- Telling people what a great decision their Subaru was, and showing them where they stand on trading up
- Handing off cleanly: when a guest wants an exact value, wants to see other vehicles, or wants to go further, you introduce them to a sales rep to continue the conversation
- Following up and keeping track of your conversations, so you're the familiar face when a guest is ready a few days later
- Keeping it honest every time. If trading up isn't right for someone yet, you tell them so.
You'll report to our Sales Manager and work side by side with our service team every day.
The Pay & Schedule
- $15.00/hour, paid semi-monthly. On top of that, a referral bonus paid monthly: $50 for every guest you refer to our sales team, plus another $50 when that referral comes with a properly completed Trade Up Advantage sheet and turns into a new Subaru purchase - up to $100 per deal. The more good conversations you start, the more you earn.
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM. No nights. Almost no weekends. A daytime schedule you can build a life around, which is rare in this business.
Benefits
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
- Health and dental insurance
- Accrued paid time off
- A lucrative employee vehicle buying and trade-in program (yes, you get to use the same program you're showing customers)
- Great discounts when purchasing or leasing a new vehicle through our local stores
- Paid Subaru product training, so you can talk about these cars with confidence
Who We're Looking ForYou don't need car experience. You need to be the kind of person people just like talking to. Backgrounds that tend to do well here:
- Retail, hospitality, and customer-service folks who are great with people
- Anyone who's naturally social and can start a conversation with a stranger (while not losing focus of the goal of the conversation)
- People who know and love Subarus and could talk about them all day
- Service, reception, or front-desk pros who want a friendly, people-first day
Beyond that, you'll need to:
- Be genuinely friendly and trustworthy. This whole job runs on people liking and believing you.
- Be patient. This is a plant-the-seed job, not an instant-gratification one, the follow-up and consistency is where the wins come from.
- Explain simple information clearly without making anyone's eyes glaze over
- Stay organized enough to track your conversations and follow up
- Be willing to learn our CareConnect system and the Trade Up Advantage process (we'll train you)
- Carry a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
About Twin Falls SubaruWe're a community-driven dealership in Twin Falls, Idaho, built on long-term relationships with our customers and our team. Subaru owners keep coming back, and this role exists because we'd rather have one of our own friendly faces help a loyal owner understand their options than let them wonder about it alone. We're not the biggest store in the state, and we don't want to be. We just want to do right by people. If that sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to talk. Learn more at
