Position: Client Billing Manager (Global Law Firm)

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Comp Package: Base Salary to $160K, Generous Bonus, Full Benefits, Tuition Reimbursement, 401K+, etc.

Responsibilities for Client Billing Manager:

• Manage billing and collection process to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment of clients, with a focus on private equity, private funds, or corporate finance matters for assigned partners, practice groups, and/or offices
• Communicate regularly with the Client Accounting Team in NY and globally to obtain information regarding client-negotiated billing arrangements
• Effectively communicate client billing arrangements to Partners, Finance Managers, Client Profitability, Client Accounting Team and others as needed to assist with client negotiations and financial analysis
• Update key monthly AR reports and finance reports daily, to ensure timely and quality reporting for Senior Management
• Respond to billing and AR inquiries; Preparation of bills including narrative descriptions, transfers and on account applications
• Obtain and review/understand Engagement letters and Outside Counsel Guidelines so you can support adherence to these client requirements
• Collaborate with internal clients and other finance teams, such as Pricing Operations and ebilling, to ensure accurate client invoices, submission requirements, and reporting

Qualifications for Client Billing Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 7+ years of related legal billing, client relationship experience with 3+ years in a supervisory capacity
• Experience with Aderant is required 
• Detail oriented, well organized, excellent writing and communications skills.
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and Word
• Strong verbal, written and communication skills
• Ability to treat sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
