Job Description - Client Care Specialist

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious ­­­­­Client Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position reporting to any RI or MA Hilb office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily service functions and ad hoc requests, escalating issues as needed; including resolving enrollment and claims issues with carriers.

  • Takes initiative with researching and resolving customer issues and concerns and proactively provide solutions to deliver timely and effective resolutions to customers

  • Create and maintain client tracker with renewal dates to proactively support Open Enrollment processes.

  • Request census data from client and/or carriers to support marketing efforts

  • Request Benefit Guides from communications team; review for accuracy

  • Request benefit plan summaries and SBC’s from carriers

    Facilitate new COBRA account set up and manage COBRA renewals.

  • Coordinate MAPFML private plan exemption filings with clients.

  • Coordinate completion of and/or complete paperwork related to new plan set up

Qualifications:

  • Education – High school diploma required; some college level coursework preferred

  • Certification – Must obtain and maintain active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional relationship development skills, interpersonal and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

  • Working knowledge and understanding of group benefits/administration
