Responsible for obtaining patient’s vital signs and rooming patients or seating patient in a waiting area for providers as appropriate, answering incoming phone calls, assist with checking in/out patients and other duties of the CCS I when needed, complete Coordination of Care letters, School Notes, and assist with the completion of FMLA paperwork, and other duties as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
The CCS II will work as a part of the clinic team to ensure that patients receive the best possible customer service. The CCS II will act as an assistant to providers as assigned.
Master all tasks and responsibilities of CCS I
Opening procedures (ensure cleanliness in common areas/offices, check restrooms and be prepared for the first patient 15 minutes prior to the appointment)
Prepare all patient charts two days prior to the scheduled appointment
Call New Patients who have not completed their measures
Check CSPMP for all adult patients and all new patients, the day prior
Medication Reconciliation performed prior to rooming patients
Obtain and enter primary care physician, referral source and other provider for each patient
Create/Sign/Fax patient related documents (Release of Information, Referral Letters, Coordination of Care, etc.)
Obtain signature for “Controlled Substance Agreement” from all patients or parent/guardian if prescribed a controlled substance
Regularly checking @rpsych e-mail throughout the day
Forward medication concerns and refills and prior authorization requests to the appropriate staff.
Closing procedures (ensure cleanliness throughout the provider offices and M.A. station, take out the trash throughout the offices, and ensure all doors are locked prior to leaving premises)
Other duties as assigned
Present appropriate, courteous customer service to all patients present or on the telephone

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
Experience in an outpatient medical office required
Graduation from an Accredited College, University, or trade school with a degree, license, or certificate in a relevant field preferred
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must possess superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability speak, read, and write English fluently required
Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of a Windows Computer and Microsoft office products
Must adhere to HIPAA and HIITECH guidelines at all times
