As the Packaging, Security, and Commercial Printing division of DSS, Inc., we proudly serve national and regional clients across industries such as medical devices, consumer goods, food, and photo marketing.

With operations based in West Henrietta (Rochester), NY and distribution centers on both U.S. coasts, Premier provides end-to-end, full-service capabilities—large enough to meet the needs of our biggest clients while agile enough to adapt to shifting market demands.

  

Position Overview: Client Services Representative (CSR)

The CSR is a key cross-functional team member responsible for coordinating customer orders from estimation through production and delivery. This individual acts as a central liaison between clients, sales, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to Premier’s high standards of quality.

This is a fast-paced role requiring strong project management skills, technical print knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and can juggle multiple priorities while delivering outstanding service.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and evaluate RFQs; prepare detailed cost estimates using internal tools and vendor data.
  • Develop press layouts and finishing plans for estimates and production runs.
  • Coordinate all job specifications and maintain project tracking through NetSuite (ERP/CRM system).
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing on materials, supplies, and outsourced services.
  • Create and distribute work orders, job tickets, and production schedules.
  • Monitor job progress, resolve issues proactively, and communicate updates with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Sales, Production, and Management to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
  • Analyze job costing and alert management to variances from budgeted estimates.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support R&D, special projects, and new product development initiatives as needed.

  

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in printing and/or folding carton packaging in customer service, estimating, purchasing, or planning      roles.
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of print production including pre-press, press, die-cutting, and finishing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and BOMs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with external vendors and managing outsourced components.
  • Knowledge of material sourcing and industry-specific compliance standards.
