Job Description - Client Solutions Leader, Public Works


The Client Solutions Leader for Jones Edmunds Public Works Discipline will work with clients to develop solutions to client challenges that our project delivery teams can successfully deliver. As the Client Solutions Leader, this individual is focused on sales and revenue growth through relationship building and solution development. The Client Solutions Leader will undertake initiatives to increase our client base, expand into new geographic locations, improve service offerings, and provide solutions that enhance performance for public and private sector clients. We expect this position will require 70-80% of their time to be spent out of the office meeting with clients or potential clients. The Client Solutions Leader is responsible for developing and communicating a sales program in an assigned territory, discipline, and/or key accounts. A critical responsibility for this position is to increase the company’s strategic advantage in marketing, sales and recruiting. The Client Solutions Leader coordinates with Associates at all levels of the company and always champions the company, its leadership and initiatives. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Client Service Responsibility:

· Generate $10 million in annual client contracts or bookings.

· Achieve a 75% success rate on continuing service contracts assigned for pursuit.

· Achieve a 30% success rate on RFPs recommended for pursuit.

· Establish goals, objectives, strategies, tactics, and budget requirements for developing new business from existing or new clients.

· Build and manage a robust pipeline of sales opportunities to grow the water utilities market segment.

· Identify key market segments and prioritize pursuit activities based on service line strengths, client potential, and regional growth drivers. 

· Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with key client decision-makers. 

· Work with clients to develop solutions that are aligned with our project delivery expertise. 

· Create and update key client activity plans. 

· Assist clients with aligning funding with project opportunities. 

· Pre-position for targeted requests for proposals (RFPs).

· Serve as client contact during the delivery of RFPs won. 

· Monitor industry trends and translate them into actionable propositions.

· Conduct quarterly reviews and set client targets.

· Maintain accurate records of client interactions, leads, and opportunities in the company’s CRM system.

· Use data analytics to evaluate lead performance, identify conversion trends, and support strategic decision-making. 

· Collaborate with the marketing department to devise strategies that highlight the firm's capabilities and achievements.

· Partner with marketing teams to develop effective campaigns aimed at clients and industry partners.

· Perform duties and travel outside the office a minimum of 70-80% of the time

Leadership Responsibility:

· Work with executive leadership to develop, manage, and execute the strategic vision and pursuit strategy for assigned services.

· Identify growth opportunities and establish annual goals and budgets aligned with company objectives.

· Serve as point-of-contact for industry partners.

· Act as a leader in strategic Go/No Go discussions and decision-making.

· Identify resource needs and coordinate with leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent. 

· Lead the pursuit of key opportunities. 

· Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the seamless integration of clients solutions into project delivery.

· Build and foster strong internal cross-disciplinary collaboration partnerships with other market leaders and delivery teams to help expand our services to clients.

· Lead preparation and attendance at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance our brand visibility.

· Identify opportunities for recognition of our thought leaders and recommend conference presentations to elevate Jones Edmunds' position in the industry.

· Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.

Quality Program Responsibility:

· Provide quality control reviews in accordance with company standards to ensure we meet client expectations. 

· Participate in key client presentations to assist project teams with communicating work products to clients. 

· Assist project teams to maximize profitability while meeting client expectations. 

· Exhibit sales and marketing behaviors consistent with the company values

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Education:  BS in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related field from accredited college or university

Registration:  None

Certification: None

Experience: 10+ years of experience with sales and business development in Engineering, Planning, Construction or Environmental Consulting.

Proven leadership experience with history of driving growth and managing high-performing teams.

Deep knowledge of utilities industry.

Other: Excellent communication skills

Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable MVR
