CLEVELAND AREA HOSPITAL is an independent, self-managed Critical Access Hospital half an hour west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. As the only hospital in Pawnee County, we are constantly striving to provide the highest level of care by continuously growing and updating our services and equipment. Our facilities include a level IV Trauma Center/ ER, Skilled Nursing/Swing Bed program, Respiratory Therapy, C.T., 3D Mammography, a fully equipped Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, 24/7 Lab, and a Primary Care Clinic. The organization is a Regional Healthcare Provider in its 10th year of consistent leadership. BENEFITS:
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Clinic Provider, the Clinic Float Nurse serves as the clinical support to the physician, advance practice providers, and staff in the clinic. Delivers a positive patient experience through the efficient medical data gathering, accurate medial record documentation and efficient follow through of care plan. The Float Nurse reports directly to the Clinic Practice Manager.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions
1. Adheres to Organization’s Policies and Procedures
2. Provides exceptional customer service and ensures access to appropriate services as expeditiously as possible
3. Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
4. Arrive each day prepared to assume a variety of roles and responsibilities as dictated by the needs of the clinic.
5. May set up rooms for patients and/or procedures.
6. Correctly assesses patient's vital signs and charts them accurately.
7. May take patient into room and perform and document initial patient interview.
8. Accurately dispenses and charts medications ordered by physicians and nurse practitioners.
9. Administers medications orally or by intramuscular or intradermal injections.
10. Assists physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistance with procedures.
11. Performs certain laboratory tests including urinalysis dipstick, urine pregnancy tests, and hematocrits and others as defined by clinic.
12. Reviews laboratory results and refers all abnormal results to the correct provider.
13. Triages patient phone calls for minor health problems and refers complicated illnesses to nurse practitioners and physicians.
14. Monitors medical supplies and stock medications, and stock treatment rooms.
15. Process referrals and coordinate with external healthcare services to ensure patients receive timely care as needed.
16. Support front office operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and greeting patients as needed.
17. Accompany the doctor into patient examination room to document the encounter accurately and efficiently as needed.
18. Performs clerical duties as needed.
19. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of an approved school of Licensed Practical Nursing preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to keep accurate records.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Ability to deal with a variety of patients, staff, and health care providers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. using appropriate body mechanics techniques. Utilizes good hearing, vocal and visual skills. Occasionally requires bending and stretching. Pushing and pulling. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
