Clinic Receptionist - Cornerstone Family Practice

As a Clinic Receptionist, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for our patients and visitors. This position is responsible for a variety of front-desk duties that help keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner


• Answer and appropriately direct incoming phone calls


• Schedule patient appointments according to clinic guidelines


• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information


• Enter and update information in the electronic health record


• Create and route patient messages


• Verify insurance eligibility


• Collect patient payments and maintain a cash drawer


• Monitor appointment reminders, incoming faxes, and clinic communications


• Assist with maintaining an efficient flow of patients through the clinic


• Assist with general office duties, supplies, and other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred


• Previous experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred


• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills


• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across departments


• Comfortable working with computers and electronic health records

The position requires a high level of attention to detail and frequent interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Wage Range: $16.01 – $24.02 per hour. Starting wage is based on relevant experience and qualifications.
