Ak-Chin Health Clinic in Maricopa, Arizona is currently hiring Contract/Travel Outpatient Clinic RNs to join our patient-centered care team. This is a great chance to provide quality care in a tribal community-focused environment that supports all age groups—from pediatric to geriatric patients.

As a Clinic RN, you’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver a full range of services including general medical, family medicine, prenatal, and chronic disease management. Your clinical skills and dedication will help ensure that every patient receives safe, effective, and culturally respectful care.

Position Overview:

• Long-term Travel Contract – 13 weeks up to 1 year, with potential for extensions 
• Full-time, 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts) 
• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 
• Setting: Family Medicine / Primary Care Clinic 
• Licensure: Valid RN license from any U.S. state accepted 
• Certifications: BLS required, PALS preferred 
• Travel RN experience preferred 
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required 
• Experience in Outpatient, Family Medicine, Clinic, or Urgent Care settings required 
• ADN required; BSN preferred 
• Prior IHS or Tribal Health experience is a plus 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and care needs 
• Develop and implement patient-centered care plans 
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately
• Monitor for changes in patient condition and respond appropriately 
• Collaborate with providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care 
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication management, and health education 
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per regulatory standards 
• Perform clinical procedures such as catheterizations, imaging support, wound care, and more 
• Contribute to clinic-based quality improvement initiatives 
• Support a safe, respectful, and culturally competent care environment

 Registered Nurse (RN) –

• Minimum of (2) two years experience required as an RN
• RN Nursing experience in an Acute Care Setting required
• Graduated from a National League of Nursing,  Accredited Nursing Program 
• Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or Diploma from an accredited professional nursing education program as an RN is required. 
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Required, PALS preferred
• Applicant must have active and unrestricted, current licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN) in any State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States 
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
• Must be a US citizen
• Must be willing to pass a federal background check
