Clinic Supervisor

The Clinic Supervisor works in a team setting to ensure the best environment for quality patient care. The Clinic Supervisor is responsible to ensure operational activities at specific clinical sites are carried out successfully and within Fordland Clinic guidelines, policy, and procedures. The Clinic Supervisor is part of the health care management team and, acting as a supervisor, is responsible for the daily operations of the site to ensure appropriate allocation of resources. The clinic supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of staff in the absence of the Clinic Managers in order to achieve successful operations and positive coworker relations. 

Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):

• Upholds and promotes policies and procedures of Fordland Clinic.


• Supervises assigned staff in the absence of, or at the direction of, the Clinic Managers - Medical Clinic Manager, Dental Manager, Behavioral Health Manager, Patient Service Representative Manager, etc. 


• Promotes practices consistent with medical industry standards.
  


• Coordinates clinic operation and total patient care in order to maintain an efficient clinic.


• Evaluate the performance of team members as requested by the Clinical Manager for performance appraisals.


• Participate in customer service-related issues and work to come to a resolution.
  


• Identify problems, take ownership, and contribute to solutions.
  


• Assist Clinical Managers in completing the schedule for the site location, at their discretion.
  


• Act as a resource or liaison for site coworkers.


• Precept new coworkers and help to learn site workflow, policies, and procedures.
  


• Complete inventory and ordering as necessary as directed by the Clinical Managers
  

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school graduate


• Current Nursing License or Current Certified Medical Assistant with 2 or more years of experience preferred


• BLS/CPR certified


• Supervisory Experience required

Work hours: Full-time, hourly position.  In order to maintain benefit eligibility, a minimum of 30 hours per week on average are required, though 40 hours a week will be expected for this position. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays and after business hours work may be required. This position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Friday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
