Summary

Responsible for rooming patients, cleaning rooms, performing the required MIPS guidelines with each patient, scanning patient paperwork into EPIC. Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.The main objective of this position is to help keep the clinical flow moving ni a timely manner. 

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday, shifts between from 6:30am-6pm. 

Responsibilities

• Monitor and keep charts in time order.
• As rooms become available to call patients from the waiting room to the clinic by first name and name of the provider the patient will be seeing.
• Greet patients at the clinic door and confirm the patient's last name and date of birth.
• Escort the patient or assist the patient by pushing the wheelchair to the exam room.
• In the exam room, pull the patient information up in EMR. Enter patient information into the EMR chart per MIPS protocol. (height/weight, body part and laterality for the visit, allergies, medication reconciliation, alcohol/tobacco use, medical history, and pharmacy). Add the appropriate patient education to the patient after visit, as needed.
• Summary in the wrap up/plan tab.
• If needed, have the patient change into paper shorts or gown.
• Order x-rays by provider protocols and press the white button on the outside of the exam room.
• Clean exam rooms after the patient visit, check sharp containers, wipe down exam tables and instruments used, put a clean pillowcase on the pillow and cover the exam table with table paper.
• Assist patients with any questions or concerns they may have.
• Perform tasks and projects at the request of the physician or practice administrator.

• Ability to assist patients on and off exam room tables. Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds. Ability to climb stairs, Ability to walk approximately 2-5 miles a day. 90% of the job requires walking patients to and from rooms, reception areas, etc.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
