Position Summary:Under the direction of the IT Applications Manager, the Clinical Application Analyst II takes full ownership of assigned clinical and ancillary systems, serving as the primary subject matter expert and technical leader for those applications. This role drives system optimization, leads project workstreams, and makes independent configuration and design decisions within scope. The Analyst II serves as the escalation point for Analyst I staff, mentors junior team members, and acts as a strategic partner to clinical departments and organizational leadership.
Essential Job Functions:
Application Support
Serve as the primary owner of assigned clinical applications, accountable for system performance, stability, and continuous improvement.
Provide Tier III support for assigned high-volume software systems during business hours, after hours, and weekends as required; serve as the escalation point for Analyst I staff.
Perform advanced technical support, root-cause analysis, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and associated interfaces.
Lead vendor interactions, escalations, and relationship management for assigned applications.
Review and analyze system and performance indicators; independently resolve complex issues and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate cross-functional application support with other Information Technology teams.
Serve as the technical and subject matter expert for assigned applications for users, team members, vendors, and management.
Clinical OfficesSupport
Act as a liaison between assigned departments, clinical end users and technical personnel.
Assist in the coordination and maintenance of all current systems for assigned departments.
Provide in-person support for providers and end users as needed during and after clinical system implementations and upgrades.
Identify and assist with planning for, and developing, department-specific requirements for future clinical product considerations.
Analyze and document user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems.
Provide leadership and coordination with department super users.
Process and DocumentationManagement
Assure that all documentation for workflows, configure and/or build activities, change management adherence, end user notifications, training information and status reporting in the appropriate systems is properly completed.
Analyze systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and provider productivity.
Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
Improve how applications are configured to help users understand the limitations and capabilities of information systems and associated applications.
Training
Assist in training users on upgrades and new installations.
Assist with educational initiatives in clinical application utilization, data reporting, and other areas of clinical technology.
Mentor Application Analysts I to improve skills in preparation for more responsibility.
Project Management
Manage small to medium application projects that may include scheduling or facilitating meetings, as necessary, to complete assignments.
Participate in system-wide Information Services projects as assigned.
Performs written and oral project status reporting on a regular basis.

Qualifications: 3–5+ years of work experience in Application/Software support required. Demonstrated leadership or project management experience required. Degree from an accredited college preferred; emphasis in healthcare, information management, or adult education is a plus. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) or Practice Management (PM), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems preferred.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5 Remote/Office Hybrid 2 days a week in the office
