Clinical Assistant

We are seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) team. This position plays a vital role in assisting practitioners with patient care and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care Assistance: Helping with patient assessment, assisting with device fittings, and providing follow-up care under supervision.

Administrative Tasks: Maintaining patient records, handling shipping and receiving, managing inventory, and contacting vendors for supplies.

Compliance and Safety: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

Communication: Effectively communicating with patients, practitioners, and other staff members, as well as documenting patient care accurately.

Specific Examples of Duties:

Assisting with patient casting and device fitting.

Performing minor adjustments and repairs to orthotic and prosthetic devices.

Maintaining patient records and documentation.

Managing inventory and ordering supplies.

Supervision:

In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a certified orthotist or prosthetist. The supervising clinician will be physically present during patient care and available for real-time consultation and support. All documentation you complete will be reviewed and countersigned by the supervising practitioner to ensure quality and compliance.
