Clinical Assistant Program Director
The Clinical Assistant Program Director will work closely with the Clinical Program Director to oversee and support the operation and development of the program ensuring services are of the highest quality, and in compliance with policies and procedures. In addition, this position is a clinical staff member of the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Team (FACT) which is a multidisciplinary treatment team serving adults who have a diagnosis of mental illness and who are justice involved. Responsibilities include providing a full range of services that are culturally relevant and recovery based. These services may occur in the home, community, and office. Services provision is designed to promote recovery by improving psychiatric symptoms, preventing relapses, teaching skills, providing direct assistance, and securing necessary community resources.
Skills/Qualifications for the Clinical Assistant Program Director:
1. NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
2. Experience working with individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) required.
3. Supervisory experience required.
4. Experience working on an ACT Team, inpatient, and/or outpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
5. Experience with the criminal justice systems preferred.
6. Must have strong commitment to the rights and ability of each person with a mental illness to make their own decisions and choices, live in the community, work, and have access to continuous support and services to enhance wellness and recovery.
7. Must be able to effectively work with all people and demonstrate skills and competence to establish supportive and trusting relationships with all individuals.
8. Valid and insurable NYS driver's license. Must have your own vehicle to use for business purposes. Agency vehicles are available for transportation of the individuals we serve.
