Job Description - Clinical Crisis Coordinator

Clinical Crisis Coordinator



HCBH is seeking a Clinical Crisis Coordinator to serve as a key leader in our organization. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for overseeing our crisis response and suicide risk management protocols across all of our Wyoming service areas. You'll ensure our team is well-trained, equipped, and supported to respond to behavioral health crises in a way that aligns with state regulations and our high standards of care.



This is a dynamic position that requires a minimum
of three days per week of on-call availability and the ability to manage 7-14 client hours outside of on-call work.



Key Responsibilities



  • Protocol Oversight & Compliance: Maintain and update our crisis protocol manual, ensuring all activities comply with Wyoming Title 25 statutes and contractual obligations.

  • Training & Support: Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing staff on crisis protocols, including the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale. Provide ongoing coaching to on-call clinicians, especially during high-risk cases.

  • Quality Assurance: Audit crisis documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

  • Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between HCBH and external stakeholders, including county attorneys, law enforcement, and hospitals.

  • Emergency Response Management: Act as the escalation point for complex crisis cases and participate in after-action reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Current licensure as a mental health professional in the State of Wyoming (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in crisis intervention or behavioral health emergency services.

  • Strong knowledge of Wyoming Title 25 statutes and suicide risk assessment tools.

  • Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with rural behavioral health systems and telehealth service delivery.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.



Work Environment


This is a hybrid role with potential travel to our locations across Wyoming. You will be a vital part of our on-call rotation and will take on-call a minimum of three days per week.
