Job Description - Clinical Director

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision

  • Directly supervises: Director of Nursing, Program Management Team, Human Rights Coordinator, and Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS)
  • Oversees management of all programs, including individual services, finances, staff supervision, and environmental maintenance
  • Coordinates and leads weekly Managers’ Meetings in collaboration with the President
  • Conducts supervision and annual evaluations for Program Directors, Assistant Program Directors, Human Rights Coordinator, and Director of Nursing
  • Approves payroll and timecards for program management and monitors overall budget compliance, including clinical expenditures

Clinical Oversight

  • Serves as the primary clinical liaison with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), families, and partner organizations
  • Develops and implements evidence-based behavior support plans and targeted strategies aligned with Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and REACH’s standards of excellence
  • Coaches program managers in crafting Individual Service Plan (ISP) assessments, goals, and PBS strategies
  • Reviews intake referrals, meets prospective individuals and families, and assesses program site readiness
  • Ensures PBS framework is embedded across the organization, including person-centered behavioral approaches and operationally defined outcomes
  • Provides direct training and ongoing clinical support to staff on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and PBS methodologies
  • Chairs the PBS Leadership Committee and the Medication Treatment Plan Committee

Program Development & Representation

  • Leads strategic development of innovative programming to expand service offerings 
  • Represents REACH at Plymouth Area Provider Meetings and Regional Training Initiatives
  • Acts as agency spokesperson at DDS risk and clinical review meetings
  • Acts as program management in cases of vacancy of Program Directors

Data Analysis & Quality Assurance

  • Reviews and analyzes data from QAS reports, site visits, and internal audits
  • Monitors agency-wide fidelity to PBS practices, utilizing multi-tiered data systems and outcomes-based interventions
  • Designs and applies assessment tools to evaluate training effectiveness and clinical practices
  • Oversees the distribution, collection, and evaluation of internal satisfaction surveys
  • Chairs all medical tracking review sessions in collaboration with the Director of Nursing
  • Ensures consistent application of treatment integrity and evidence-based intervention across all programs

Administrative & Compliance Duties

  • In partnership with the President and HR, leads hiring and onboarding for Program Directors and Assistant Program Directors
  • Collaborates on the development and revision of agency and personnel policies
  • Oversees and finalizes investigations, ensuring training and follow-up measures are implemented
  • Serves as the agency’s CORI, Fingerprint, and DPPC Compliance Officer
  • Participates in agency-wide fundraising efforts

On-Call Responsibilities

  • Participates in 24-hour Emergency On-Call Rotation and provides backup as needed for clinical leadership

Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Human Services, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field
  • Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) highly preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience supporting adults with developmental delays, communication disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders
  • At least 5 years of training and experience in functional behavior assessment, treatment planning, clinical supervision, and staff development

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of PBS frameworks and behavioral intervention models
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, budgeting, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, MA Virtual Gateway
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
