Clinical Director
Position Overview: Sprout Therapy PDX is seeking a Clinical Director. The Clinical Director oversees clinical supervisors, provides supervision-of-supervision, supports clinical client care, and assists with staff training and development. They ensure staff follow policies and procedures and uphold Sprout Therapy PDX’s mission, values, and client experience standards.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week paid at $105,000 annually, with flexible hours. This position requires TBD paid clinical hours per week with flexibility as approved by the Chief Clinical Officer.

Duties/Responsibilities
Clinical Director:
- Provide group and individual supervision-of-supervision as an OBLPCT or OBLSW Approved Supervisor to Clinical Supervisors, and run L10 meetings for this level.
- Consult with the Leadership Team to evaluate practice processes and procedures, streamline operations, implement improvements, and address clinical issues or successes.
- Provide both clinical and administrative oversight of supervisors and clinicians.
- Assist the Chief Clinical Officer with training and development of clinical staff.
- Meet weekly with the Clinical Operations Team to review clinician success and address any clinical concerns.
- Understand the roles and tasks for all administrative and clinical positions; provide support to the entire team as needed.
- Identify areas for improvement in clinical services, administrative operations, and client experience; collaborate with the Clinical Operations Team to develop and implement related policies, programs, and training.
- Demonstrate a growth-driven mindset toward the continued development of Sprout Therapy PDX as a community of care and leader in Oregon’s mental health field.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Operations Team and leadership to implement strategies and protocols that strengthen communication among staff, management, clients, and the community.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Operations team as well as leadership to implement protocols to ensure successful communication between staff and management, as well as staff and clients, and staff and community.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback within the Clinical Operations Team.

Clinical Supervision / Site Supervision:
- Provide group and individual supervision to both licensed and associate clinicians on staff, as needed for coverage.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all administrative and clinical roles to support the team as needed.
- Support supervisees in auditing their charts to ensure clinical work is clinically sound and documented in accordance with Sprout Therapy PDX standards.
- Identify areas where supervisees may need improvement—clinically or administratively—and communicate these to the Clinical Operations Team.
- Demonstrate a growth-driven mindset toward the continued development of Sprout Therapy PDX as a community of care and leader in mental healthcare.
- Other duties as assigned.
Clinician:
- Perform on-site and/or virtual clinical counseling services to patients of Sprout Therapy PDX as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
- Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
- Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Sprout Therapy PDX.
- Respond to client communication within 1 business day, whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc.
- Communicate with a client’s collateral sources for case management (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
- Timely (within 72 hours for intakes, within 7 days for ongoing sessions) and complete documentation for every client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contact notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Sprout Therapy PDX or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion.
- Keep patient files and demographics accurate and up to date.
- Charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Sprout Therapy PDX.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Sprout Therapy PDX.
- Conduct counseling services in a professional manner.
- Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers, supervisors, and Leadership team.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Alignment with our company’s culture, mission, and values
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, social work, or related field
- Active and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Oregon (PhD/Candidate, PsyD, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) - applicants with licensing in another state must have completed the process of obtaining an Oregon license before starting work.
- Active Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate designation from OBLPCT or OBLSW
- Be organized and detail oriented, punctual, and professional
- Self-directed, responsible, confident, and clinically savvy
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially in the realms of emotional intelligence and flexibility
- At least 3+ years of experience post-Master’s preferred in multiple settings
- Have at least one niche for counseling services (i.e., LGBTQIA+, bilingual, children, teens, EMDR, etc)
