Job Description - Clinical Director - SMI

Credentials: Licensed clinician required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD or equivalent)
Location: Westwood, CA.

A growing, mission-driven behavioral health organization is seeking a Clinical Director to lead an integrated outpatient clinic serving adults with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) in the Westwood area. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives in growing organizations and enjoys building programs, developing teams, and driving high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise therapists and associate clinicians

Oversee admissions, intakes, and treatment planning

Lead daily care coordination meetings and support clinical decision-making

Coach and develop clinical staff while fostering a positive team culture

Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient engagement

Partner closely with operations leadership to improve workflows and clinic performance

Provide direct patient care as needed

Qualifications

Active California clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, or equivalent)

Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health

Experience working with adults experiencing serious mental illness (SMI) preferred

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team leadership skills

Compensation: $140,000 - $165,000
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Setting: Integrated Outpatient
