In this role, you’ll provide strategic clinical leadership, ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards, and foster a trauma-informed, client-centered environment for healing.

About Us

We are dedicated to transforming lives by delivering exceptional behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services. Our team works collaboratively to break down barriers, champion evidence-based practices, and deliver care that restores hope and dignity to the individuals and families we serve.

What You’ll Do

As the Clinical Lead, you will:

  • Provide clinical oversight of all treatment services, including outpatient, residential, and MAT (if applicable).

  • Supervise licensed and license-eligible staff and interns; conduct evaluations and clinical audits.

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and payer standards for all documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes).

  • Implement and monitor evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, MI, trauma-informed care).

  • Lead quality assurance activities and corrective action planning.

  • Develop and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with accreditation/licensure.

  • Partner with the Executive Director on program development, staffing models, and service expansion.

  • Facilitate team meetings and interdisciplinary communication.

  • Carry a limited caseload and provide direct clinical services (up to 20%) in high-acuity/overflow situations.

  • Represent the organization in audits, licensing visits, and external reviews.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Addictions Counseling from an accredited institution.

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice independently (LCSW, LISW, LMHC, LPC, LCPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist) in the state of employment and eligible to meet supervisory requirements across our footprint (Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, West Virginia, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Vermont).

  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • State-recognized certification in addiction counseling (CADC, IADC, LCAC, LADC, or equivalent).

  • 1–2 years of experience working in SUD or co-occurring mental health settings.

Key Competencies

  • Clinical & Compliance: Expert in documentation, treatment planning, utilization review, and regulatory standards.

  • Leadership: Strong supervisory skills; proven ability to lead with clarity and accountability.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Skilled at fostering trust, coordination, and alignment across teams and stakeholders.

  • Ethical & Cultural Competency: Champions equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Why Join Us

  • Purpose-Driven Work: Every day, your leadership will directly impact lives.

  • Collaborative Culture: Be part of a team that values excellence, innovation, and compassion.

  • Growth Opportunities: As we expand services, you’ll have the chance to grow with us.
