Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all emergency department operations during assigned shifts
• Direct and supervise nursing staff while maintaining accountability for patient care outcomes
• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives and best practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Oversee patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation processes
• Drive excellence in emergency care through staff development and mentorship
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
• Facilitate patient and family education throughout the care journey

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Minimum 2-3 years Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proven charge nurse experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• ACLS and PALS certification (or obtained within 1 year)
• CPI certification (or obtained within 6 months)
• Trauma care experience preferred
