Job Description:
Responsible for serving as a clinical expert and resource to staff, supporting troubleshooting of clinical issues and equipment challenges. Provides education, mentorship, and development for new and existing staff through orientation, competency training, and simulation sessions. Coordinates and develops educational programs, training materials, and special operations response training. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitates ongoing professional growth. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality and drive optimal patient experiences.
• Serves as a clinical expert and resource for staff, providing just-in-time education, mentoring, and troubleshooting clinical issues and equipment challenges.
• Develops, delivers, and evaluates education programs, competencies, and training for clinical and non-clinical staff, including new procedures, low volume/high risk conditions, and annual requirements.
• Leads and organizes orientation programs for new hires, ensuring clear communication of departmental standards, expectations, and essential job skills.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, leadership, and external partners to coordinate educational offerings, ensure compliance, and support safe patient care.
• Facilitates and instructs in certification classes, special operations response training, and point of care testing education.
• Maintains current professional licensure, certifications, and actively pursues ongoing professional development and participation in professional organizations.
• Monitors compliance with regulatory standards and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, including data collection and performance improvement activities.
• Fosters a healthy work environment by modeling professional values, supporting staff development, and providing constructive feedback to leadership.
• Participates in committees and contributes to policy and standards development within the organization and specialty areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in nursing
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred
3-5 years of experience in nursing or other relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license, ,Basic Life Support (BLS)
Other certifications based on area of assignment: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) , National Institutes of Health (NIH) stroke scale Certified, Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum
