Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and support clinical staff, including Medical Assistants and Ultrasound Technologists.
Provide training, and performance feedback to clinical team members.
Foster a positive, patient-centered culture focused on excellence in care and service.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and clinical workflow efficiency.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
Assist physicians during sterile office-based vein procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms and ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection prevention protocols.
Provide patient education and reinforce post-procedure instructions.
Serve as the clinic's Safety Officer and oversee implementation of safety policies and procedures.
Maintain compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and clinical best practices.
Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to maximize patient flow and clinic efficiency.
Assist with procedure scheduling, resource allocation, and room utilization.
Support implementation of workflow improvements and operational initiatives.
Oversee inventory levels for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and procedural equipment.
Maintain appropriate stock levels while managing supply costs.
Coordinate ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies.
Ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, and readiness for patient care.
Monitor quality metrics and patient outcomes.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
Support implementation of evidence-based clinical practices.
Qualifications
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
Current BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment.
Collaboration is essential to success in this role. You will work closely with our off-site Director of Operations and Medical Director, and are expected to maintain open communication, foster strong working relationships, and actively collaborate to support organizational goals and patient care excellence.
Skilled at cultivating strong relationships with patients, staff, physicians, medical device representatives, and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred
Experience in vascular, vein, interventional, surgical, procedural, or outpatient specialty practice settings.
Experience with accreditation programs (IAC, AAAHC, Joint Commission, or similar).
ACLS certification.
Experience managing clinical operations and inventory systems.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to assist with patient positioning and procedural support.
Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment as needed and apply compression stockings on patients.
Ability to perform clinical duties requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
