Role Overview






Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager to support Whitesburg ARH Hospital and McDowell ARH Hospital in Whitesburg and McDowell, KY. This role offers the opportunity to work across two facilities within the 14-hospital Appalachian Regional Healthcare system, with four days per week based in Whitesburg and one day per week in McDowell. The position is open to both new graduates and experienced dietitians and is primarily clinical, with approximately 80% of time dedicated to direct patient care.

 

Sign-on bonus may be available

Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, minimal holiday coverage

8 hours of hybrid work per week

Paid time off and health benefits start on day one of employment
Three weeks of vacation, eight holidays, and three personal days annually, with four weeks of vacation after one year
Reimbursement for Academy dues, state licensure fees, and CDR credential renewal
Reimbursement for continuing education and professional development events








What You'll Do






  • Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives
  • Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
  • Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns

What You Bring






  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in KY (or eligible)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management skills, be a self-starter and a team player
  • Ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
