Our practice, MAX Surgical Specialty Management, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Operations Coordinator to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
What You'll Do:
The Clinical Operations Coordinator is responsible for the daily planning, organizing and supervision of clinical operations in his/her region of offices related to patient centered satisfaction, Inventory maintenance and support, regulatory compliance, OSHA, HIPAA, radiation compliance, anesthesia inspection coordination, and team ER training. He/she will be responsible for developing all appropriate guidelines, policies and principles related to patient care, educational programs, and clinical compliance.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Clinical Operations
• Oversee and coordinate the purchasing of clinic supplies, materials and equipment to ensure cost
appropriateness and compliance with company standards
o Monthly site reconciliation of implants and materials with associated reporting
o Quarterly site audit with associated reporting
o Owner for the Hybrent system
• Perform quality assurance to ensure compliance with the following guidelines and regulations:
o OSHA – Responsible for ensuring practice wide OSHA compliance including annual site inspection and
monitoring
o Radiation Monitoring and Safety – Ensure all offices are compliant with all state radiation guidelines and
all paperwork is properly documented and retained
o First Aid and CPR certification training coordination
o Manage the anesthesia inspection process ensuring that all clinics are following all state guidelines for
the administration of anesthesia in the clinic
o Ensure that all sites are compliant with all daily/ weekly/ monthly maintenance and keep accurate
records of such
o Work with surgeons to execute and document ER training for all clinical staff by keeping appropriate
records of training based on state guidelines
• Develop, review and improve the onboarding program for all new surgical assistants including:
o 2-4 week phased training of all new surgical assistants hired
o 2-3 day introduction to the office assignment for new surgical assistants
o Evaluation of onboarding and skill set of the surgical assistants, following the phased approach of
training based on the established evaluation and time frame guidelines
o Follow up with new surgical assistants and the team lead to ensure the clinic objectives and expectations
are being met
Educational Program Management
• Work with the Medical Director to educate clinical staff by arranging training, education, and orientation as appropriate
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program is strongly preferred
• Radiography certification
• At least 3 years of Oral Surgery assisting experience required; DAANCE certification is preferred
• Knowledge of technical dental and oral maxillofacial procedures, oral maxillofacial practice experience
and/or experience in an academic healthcare environment
• Experience managing a busy patient care environment
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, stress management, and
is flexible and diplomatic
• Ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances
