The Clinical Operations Specialist will support our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in Hallowell, Brunswick, Westbrook, Cape Elizabeth, Saco and Wells Maine as well as Milford, NH and Newburyport, MA.

Clinical Operations Specialist 

Reporting to the Regional Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Operations Specialist partners with community leaders to provide clinical leadership, oversight, and support within assigned communities. This role ensures clinical operations meet state regulatory requirements and Northbridge standards by strengthening assessment and service planning processes, medication management, quality assurance, and risk management practices.
The Clinical Operations Specialist mentors and supports Resident Care Directors (RCDs), nurses, and clinical teams through training, operational guidance, and performance oversight. In the absence of an RCD, this role assists the Executive Director in managing day-to-day clinical operations to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • •    Assist in the training of Resident Services Directors and nurses to ensure understanding of Assessment and Service Plan process, Medication Practices, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, state regulations and Northbridge policies, procedures, standards and protocols.
    •    Works with the Regional team to assist in regional initiatives as determined by the Regional Director of Clinical Operations and Regional Director of Operations.
    •    Supports the health and wellness of residents in assigned communities by monitoring care and service delivery, including medication management, to ensure needs are being met, and that documentation supports services provided.
    •    In the absence of a Resident Services Director supports Executive Director in managing day to day clinical operations in assigned community.
    •    In absence of RCD assists ED in the management of the clinical department ensuring the department is operating within the state regulatory guidelines and Northbridge Standards established for the department
    •    Keeps ED and RCD informed of pending clinical issues/concerns at the community, as well as reporting visits to RDCS.
    •    Interact with residents, staff, and visitors to promote customer satisfaction.
    •    Works closely with the assigned Sales Director to evaluate potential residents and be aware of upcoming move-ins and move-outs.
    •    Support ED to ensure all trainings, (orientation, initial training, and ongoing in-service education), meets the needs of clinical staff as well as state regulatory requirements in assigned communities.
    •    Works closely with ED to create positive associate relations through staff appreciation programs, recognition of excellent performance, and retention through regular performance feedback systems, in assigned communities.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in good standing.
  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities, including hands-on assisted living experience.
  • Prior regional or multi-site experience providing clinical oversight and support across multiple communities.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
•    
Ability to travel frequently between assigned communities within the region; must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•    Requires the ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing. 
•    Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials and the public.

Educational/Vocational Requirements:
•    
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
•    Proven track record of success in clinical management within an Assisted Living or comparable senior living setting.
•    Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, staff training and development, and risk management.
•    Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Assisted Living communities.
