Clinical Pharmacist

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a permanent opportunity in Panama City, Florida.

The Clinical Pharmacist provides comprehensive clinical and pharmacy services in an acute hospital setting, including medication management, clinical consults, and supervision of pharmacy technical staff. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system.

• Compound and dispense medications in accordance with established standards.

• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing.

• Support hospital formulary management, including therapeutic interchanges and rational drug selection.

• Provide medication education and information to healthcare staff and patients.

• Participate in clinical pharmacy services including drug consults, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation monitoring, pain management, renal dosing, IV-to-PO conversions, and nutrition support.

• Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and timely.

• Complete reports related to medication errors and adverse drug reactions.

• Supervise pharmacy operations and provide leadership support to pharmacy staff.

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range (Based on Experience)

• $58.15/hour (minimum)

• $66.88/hour (midpoint | ~10 years of experience)

• $73.56/hour (maximum | ~15+ years of experience)

Shift Differentials

• Evening shift: $3.00/hour

• Night shift: $6.00/hour

Sign-On Bonus

• $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over a 2-year commitment:

  – $2,000 on 1st or 2nd paycheck

  – $2,000 at 6 months

  – $2,000 at 12 months

  – $2,000 at 18 months

  – $2,000 at 24 months

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license for the position you are applying for.

• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing required.

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute hospital pharmacy experience required

  OR completion of a PGY-1 residency in a hospital setting.

• Open to new graduate pharmacists who completed a hospital-based internship.

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment.
