Job Description - Clinical Pharmacist

The Clinical Pharmacist serves as the clinical and product knowledge hub for the sales organization.
This role does not carry direct account ownership; instead, it functions as a strategic partner to the
field sales team — ensuring Tier 1 and Tier 2 clinic accounts receive the clinical depth, product
education, and engagement needed to remain active and drive consistent growth.
Equally important, this individual is deeply embedded in the clinical community — attending industry
events, building relationships with key opinion leaders, and feeding market intelligence back to
leadership to inform product roadmap decisions, competitive strategy, and growth opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.  Clinical & Product Support for the Sales Team
● Serve as the primary clinical resource for account executives managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 clinic
accounts.
● Provide in-depth product education, clinical evidence, and protocol guidance to equip sales
reps for complex customer conversations.
● Join sales calls, virtual demos, and on-site visits when clinical expertise is needed to advance
or retain an account.
● Develop and maintain internal sales tools including clinical FAQs and product comparison
materials.
● Support new sales rep onboarding by leading clinical and product knowledge training.
2.  Tier 1 & Tier 2 Account Health
● Collaborate with account-owning sales reps to monitor engagement levels, identify usage
gaps, and develop action plans to keep key accounts active and growing.
● Partner on QBRs, check-in calls, and clinical education sessions for existing clinic customers.
● Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within active accounts and communicate them to
the owning rep.
● Flag at-risk accounts early based on clinical engagement signals and support retention efforts
alongside the sales team.
3.  Industry Presence & Market Intelligence
● Maintain an active presence in the clinical community by attending industry conferences, trade
shows, webinars, and professional association events.
● Build and nurture relationships with clinicians, KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), practice
managers, and clinical educators across the market.
● Proactively gather and communicate competitive intelligence to sales leadership and product
teams, including:
◦ Competitor product updates, pricing shifts, and messaging strategies
◦ Emerging clinical protocols or treatment trends
◦ Unmet needs and pain points expressed by practitioners
● Provide structured market feedback to leadership on a regular cadence (weekly/monthly),
contributing insights that inform product roadmap prioritization and differentiation strategy.
● Identify white space opportunities and emerging clinic segments for the sales team to pursue.
4.  Clinic Pipeline Development
● Proactively identify and engage prospective clinics that represent strong acquisition
opportunities for the sales organization.
● Build early-stage relationships with clinic decision-makers, generating qualified leads and
warm introductions for account-owning reps to close.
● Attend clinical events and professional networks specifically to uncover new clinic prospects
aligned with our target profile.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
● Tier 1 & Tier 2 account retention and revenue growth (in partnership with owning reps)
● Quality and frequency of market intelligence reports delivered to leadership
● Number of qualified new clinic leads generated and passed to the sales team
● Number of Tier 1 & Tier 2 deals influenced or advanced through direct clinical support
engagement
● Conference and industry event participation coverage
● Contribution to product roadmap decisions as tracked by leadership feedback

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
● Clinical background or equivalent experience in a relevant healthcare or medical device field
● Demonstrated ability to translate complex clinical information into clear, compelling narratives
for sales and customer audiences
● Strong relationship-building skills; comfortable networking with clinicians, practice owners, and
industry stakeholders
● Collaborative mindset and self-starter — thrives in a support role, not dependent on account
ownership for motivation
● Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear internal reports and
briefings

Preferred
● Prior experience in medical sales, clinical education, or compounding
● Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, etc) for logging activities and tracking leads
● Established network within the target clinical community
● Experience attending and presenting at industry conferences or trade shows
