Clinical Product Lead, Echocardiography

Job Description - Clinical Product Lead, Echocardiography

About the Company

Our client is building a robotic system for cardiac ultrasound. The system holds the probe during a transthoracic echocardiogram while the sonographer steers it with a force-feedback controller. The goal is simple: one more scan per sonographer per day, with less physical strain.

The company is an early-stage, venture-backed medical device company in Columbus, Ohio. The system is in clinical studies today, and the team is preparing for an FDA 510(k) submission.

The role

You will be the echo clinician inside the product team. You will make sure the system is designed around how sonographers and echo labs actually work, and you will help the team decide what is clinically and practically feasible before committing to build it.

This is a product development role, not a sales role. You will report to the Director of Product and work every day with engineers, the clinical research team, clinical advisors and strategic partners.

The first robots for hospital sites are expected in mid-2027. Until then, your work centers on the office, usability studies and early site visits. From mid-2027, more of your time moves to the first pilot sites.
