CLINICAL RN EDUCATOR - HUMAN RESOURCES - FULL TIME

Essential Functions

Training-Assist the Ed. Coordinator with clinic wide in-services and orientation. Provide one on one instruction. Able to identify educational needs of clinical staff and implements necessary training. Works closely with students coordinating and onboarding their clinical rotations as needed. Assist with BLS classes. Provides clinical orientation to the new clinical staff on a regular basis. Provide phlebotomy training program to new employees on an as needed basis. Provide an IV Certification Program to qualified LPN’s requiring certification in specified areas. Able to coordinate and teach new ACLS/PALS certification courses for those needing the certification for the first time. 

Competencies-Ensures clinical competencies are completed on all new clinical employees before the employee is able to pass their 90-day probationary period as needed. 

Training Materials-Assist the Education Coordinator in developing and implementing clinical training materials. Guarantees that training materials are current and up to date. Assists with learning management system administrator roles and course creation.

Communication-Maintains open communication with staff and supervisor. Informs supervisor of any and all current problems or concerns in regard to education of clinical staff.

Other Duties as assigned-Accepts additional duties in a positive manner with no more than two incidents per year of inappropriate comments or behavior. Completes all duties within an acceptable time frame as agreed to or scheduled with no more than two significant incidents per year. Accepts responsibility for assisting co-workers & rotating job duties as needed or assigned. 

Requirements

Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and possess an active Florida State Licensure as a Registered Nurse. Minimum 5 years clinical experience. Minimum 1 year in ambulatory care setting. Prefer supervisory or managerial experience with experience in Education. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: BLS instructor within 90 days of hire. If requested will obtain ACLS and PALS instructor certification. Above average clinical skills, and organizational skills. Above average written and verbal communication techniques. Ability to teach with sensitivity to knowledge deficits. Strong computer skills and prior knowledge of a learning management system(s).
