I’m recruiting for a Clinical Specialist with an established medical device company supporting advanced technology used in Cardiac Cath Labs, Hybrid ORs and Interventional Radiology Labs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RCIS, RN, RT or experienced cardiovascular lab professional who wants to leverage their clinical expertise in a field-based medical device role.
The Role
The Clinical Specialist works directly with Interventional Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular/Cardiothoracic Surgeons, RNs and technologists, providing procedural support, clinical education, equipment installation, training and ongoing support.
You’ll partner closely with the sales team to drive successful technology adoption and utilization within hospital accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on procedural and clinical support in Cath Labs, Hybrid ORs and IR Labs
Work side-by-side with physicians and clinical teams during procedures
Train physicians, RNs, technologists and other staff on safe and effective technology utilization
Support equipment installations, new-account implementations and clinical adoption
Identify training needs and help convert non-adopters into confident users
Support product demonstrations and evaluations at prospective accounts
Develop relationships with physicians, management, RNs, technologists, educators and Bio-Med
Partner with the Territory Sales Manager to increase technology utilization
Provide ongoing clinical support to existing hospital accounts
Qualifications
Required:
RCIS, RN, RT or related healthcare credential/license
3+ years of clinical experience in a Cath Lab, interventional or peripheral cardiovascular environment
Strong knowledge of interventional procedures and lab workflow
Excellent clinical training and presentation skills
Ability to communicate confidently with physicians and clinical staff
Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
Ability to travel 70–80%
Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of diagnostic/interventional cardiovascular lab experience
Scrub experience
Previous medical device or sales experience
Travel & Coverage
This is a field-based position ideally located in the Los Angeles or San Diego metro area.
The Clinical Specialist will provide support across multiple levels of coverage:
Tier 1: California
Tier 2: West Coast/Western U.S., including Hawaii and Alaska and extending east to Montana
Tier 3: National support as needed
Candidates should be comfortable with approximately 70–80% travel.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $109K–$119K
Annual Bonus Opportunity: $30K
Geographic Pay Differential: Up to approximately $15K annually for eligible Los Angeles/San Diego-based candidates
Potential Total Cash Compensation: approximately $154K–$164K
