As a Clinical Specialist, you will partner with Marketing and Sales to drive new user adoption of a new minimally invasive treatment option for men with an enlarged prostate. The incumbent will help support training of healthcare providers with the goal to have them fully adopt this new treatment option into their practice. They will collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing and Market Development team to leverage their clinical knowledge to increase adoption. This candidate will need leadership capabilities as they will be the clinical expert in this new procedure and spearhead the training pathway for new users.

1. Support healthcare provider training virtually and in person until they are deemed competent in this new procedure. Be an integral part of internal and external training events.
2. Provide feedback to the product development team based on clinical experience and feedback from customers to help with recommendations for commercial strategy, strategic planning and product improvement.
3. Serve as the product expert to drive adoption and the safe and effective use of this new procedure.
4. Develop and support healthcare provider relationships and help to identify where the company requires expertise to support the business; this will be accomplished while adhering to the code of ethics and compliance guidelines.
5. Provide skills and resources to enable the sales team to competently influence healthcare professionals and other champions on the purchase of our offerings.
6. Utilize learnings in field to contribute to sales training content, structure, and execution.
7. Secure business intelligence to provide input and feedback to Marketing for key growth areas.
8. Work with product Marketing and Professional Education to define healthcare provider needs for the safe and effective use of Olympus equipment.
9. Stay up to date of relevant clinical studies, papers, competitive market movement, and other pertinent information and provide updates to Marketing, when necessary.
10. Help create best practice roadmaps for training and adoption of this new procedure.
11. Provide the sales organization with educational support, resources, and guidance on Urology technologies.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, and relevant clinical/business experience is required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of combined healthcare Sales, Marketing and/or clinical experience within a hospital operating room environment is required.
3. Experience in developing and managing HCP relationships is essential.
4. Urology clinical experience a plus.
5. Must have experience in launching new technologies.
6. The proven ability to develop and grow business based on ‘procedure-focused sales’ is necessary.
7. Must have demonstrated success in developing accounts, training physicians and their staff.
8. The ability to execute strategic plans and lead change is essential.
9. Must have experience in interacting with a diverse cross functional team.
10. Must have strong prospecting skills and be a self-starter.
11. Must be capable of independent action and detail oriented.
12. Multi-task/time management skills are essential.
13. The ability to internalize technical concepts, products, and services is necessary.
14. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills at all levels. Ability to deal with difficult situations is important.
15. Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint. Familiar with using mobile technology to train healthcare professionals. Experience training via videoconference is preferred.
16. Willingness to travel domestically to train physicians, customer meetings, internal meetings, and tradeshows is required. No international travel is expected and most travel will be within defined region.
17. 80% travel is required covering the Southwest (4 field days, 1 office/administrative day).
