Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking a supervisor to oversee our First Stop DUI program statewide. This person will ensure that supportive person-centered counseling services are being provided to individuals in a compassionate way.

What You'll Do At BCCS:
Responsible for reviewing and approving intakes/assessment and ensuring that clients are placed in the correct level of care.
Conduct and promote staff orientation, training, and development. Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff. Ensure that counselors follow agency policies and procedures.
Meet with assigned clients to formulate and execute clinical goals.
Assign clients to counselors / case managers.
Provide regular and specially requested reports
Provide outreach and educational activities in the community.
Resolve counselor / client conflicts. Promote staff morale and conduct supervision with staff on a weekly basis.
Participates in weekly treatment team meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices.
Knowledge of population being served and available resources.
Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document the progress of clients.
May require crisis intervention to emergency situations.
Skill in establishing rapport with clients.
Knowledge of Supervision practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Requirements
Qualifications for the position are:
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field
REQUIRED: 3 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health
REQUIRED: 1 year of supervisory experience.
REQUIRED: Must be able to pass a DELJIS (Delaware Criminal Justice Information System) background check
Within 1 year, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) if not already certified.
PREFERRED: CADC, CCDP, LPC, or LCSW,
PREFERRED: 5 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health
Salary:
From $27/hour.
Commensurate with experience, education, and certification
Schedule:
4 days shifts of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
1 evening shift between Monday - Thursday of 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
