Description

  

The Clinical Supervisor serves on the school’s leadership team as the coordinator and supervisor of LFI schools’ counseling services. This position is responsible for a reduced caseload of students alongside operationally and clinically supporting a team of social workers and counselor/s. The Clinical Supervisor cultivates positive relationships between teachers, related services therapists and families.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4pm

Location: On-site in Warrenville

Compensation:  $68,750 school year-only or $80,000 school year and ESY (based on experience)

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff and coordinates therapy services for students and families
  • Assigns staff caseloads ensuring all services required per IEP’s are delivered
  • Meets with Clinical Team members individually and in a group weekly to provide supervision, elicit feedback and develop appropriate service delivery models
  • Meets with Family Engagement Team to assess and plan whole person care needs as appropriate
  • Completes annual Performance Appraisals for all direct reports

Coordinates Consultations

  • Defines outside consultation needs for current school year, recommends and supports implementation of consultation services as approved by the Family Engagement and Admission Coordinator and Vice President of Educational Services
  • Attends consultations
  • Recruits, mentors and supervises interns as needed

Administrative Duties

  • Coordinates and leads implementation of departmental and/or all staff professional development as pertaining to trauma-informed practices, counseling services in a therapeutic day school setting, appropriate family supports and crisis situations
  • Monitors suspected abuse or neglect reports filed with DCFS
  • Attends team meetings and IEP staffings when necessary or requested, provides clinical insights and recommendations
  • Ensures appropriate IEP goal data collection, reporting and goal setting
  • Ensures counselors and social workers maintain legally required documentation and professional ethics.  

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • Active licensure with IDFPR
  • LCSW or LCPC
  • Minimum of 3 years supervised clinical experience
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the school environment for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move quickly as the need arises
  • Ability to attend community events, meetings and outreach activities as needed
  • Ability to life and carry materials up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • This position operates within a therapeutic day school serving students with social-emotional, behavioral, mental health, and/or developmental needs. The Clinical Supervisor is expected to work well in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
