CLINICAL SUPERVISOR/HOUSE SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)

Responsible the for Coordinating Resources and Staffing to promote the safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift. Coordinates and the evaluates all interdepartmental activities and communicates concerns and problems to the Unit Manager/Department Head and Chief Nursing Officer. Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours. Responsible for all activities with in the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. Adheres to the working budget as it relates to staffing and supplies. Participates in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures as well as making suggestions for revision of same. Maintains open professional communication with all staff. The position requires sound knowledge of nursing practice, exceptional leadership abilities, and a positive attitude.

A minimum of four years experience at a staff nurse level in a variety of nursing fields with a strong medical/surgical background preferred. Broad understanding of patient care process. Able to apply principles of managerial and leadership theory. Cognitive, technical knowledge and the ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing. Must be flexible with working scheduling. Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits. Certified in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. The successful candidate will be required to pass competencies for this position.
