Clinical Therapist, Intensive Foster Care

HIRING BONUS OF $2000!

Primary Responsibilities

Ø Provides the majority of intensive therapeutic interventions in the home or community rather than the office.

Ø Conducts assessment of environmental factors in the home impacting child safety such as basic material needs, abuse or neglect, parenting abilities, presence of substance abuse, formal and informal support systems, and independent living skills.

Ø Provides treatment support to the Intensive Foster Care Case Managers to enhance team and program effectiveness.

Ø Works with a multidisciplinary team to develop an ongoing treatment plan of services for youth stepping down from residential or acute care.

Ø Provides individual, family, and group therapy to youth and foster families.

Ø Maintains caseload of no more than 12 families at a time per State of Indiana standards.

Ø Maintains all client case records by documenting client contacts, as well as contacts with referral sources, schools, parents, and other professionals.

Ø Develops treatment plans, revises treatment plans quarterly and writes and submits monthly reports to referral sources.

Ø Regularly attends weekly Intensive Foster Care Services staff meeting and is prepared to discuss issues that affect clients, staff, the agency and the community if needed.

Ø Prepares case presentations for individual and group clinical supervision.

Ø Participates in case conferences and court proceedings as necessary for client care.

Ø Participation in 24-hour on-call rotation.

Ø Occasional non-traditional hours required to meet the needs of the clients and families we serve (i.e., weekends, evenings etc.).

Ø Complies with the agency continuous quality improvement standards.

Ø Maintains confidentiality for all individuals served by Family Ark.

Ø Adheres to the Code of Ethics and professional standards relevant to his/her professional discipline.

Ø Attends continuing education classes, seminars, and other professional training courses related to serving youth and families and in order to obtain and maintain licensure.

Ø Complies with federal, state, and local laws concerning child abuse, domestic violence, duty to warn and other mandated reporting statutes.

Ø Provides own transportation to assigned homes.

Ø Other duties and responsibilities as directed.

Minimum Requirements

Ø Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.

Ø 2 years of like social service experience in his/her respective discipline.

Ø Professional clinical licensure required. Ø Juvenile Sexual Offending Counselor Certification (JSOCC) preferred.

Ø Ability to assess and coordinate the treatment needs for complex family systems.

Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ø Experience with providing services in the home or community is preferred.

Ø Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.

Ø Adheres to the Professional Standards Agreement.
