Job Description - Clinical Therapist-Adolescent Services (IOP) [evening hours required]

Primary Responsibilities 


 



  • Provides quality therapeutic interventions in the behavioral health office setting as scheduled. Evening hours  for this position due to IOP programming for adolescents.  



  • Facilitates holistic, recovery empowering, group therapy through the Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents impacted by co-occurring substance use and adversity or trauma. 



  • Facilitates individual, family, and group therapy to clients and their families as appropriate. 



  • Conduct substance use assessments to determine the needed level of care and identify recommendations per ASAM standards 



  • Completes biopsychosocial assessments and creates person centered treatment plans. Review and update treatment plans, personal recovery plans, and discharge plans based on client needs and program standards. 



  • Completes clinical documentation within 24 hours of service provided.  



  • Maintains required billable hours, with work hours that are maintained in a way that is responsive to client’s needs  



  • Maintains all client case records by documenting client contacts, as well as contacts with referral sources, schools, parents, and other professionals. 



  • Collaborates with other involved service providers, with client consent to enhance team and program effectiveness. 



  • Attends and participates in clinical supervision, collaborative treatment planning meetings, case conferences, and training providing information relating to evidence-based practices and implementation of treatment. 



  • Participates as a positive member of the Behavioral Health Center environment. 



  • Complies with the agency's continuous quality improvement standards. 



  • Maintains confidentiality for all individuals served by Family Ark and secure client information per HIPAA standards. 



  • Adheres to the Code of Ethics and professional standards relevant to his/her professional discipline.    



  • Attends continuing education classes, seminars, and other professional training courses related to the youth and families receiving services from Family Ark, and in order to obtain and maintain licensure.   



  • Complies with federal, state, and local laws concerning child abuse, domestic violence, duty to warn and other mandated reporting statutes. 



  • Maintains communication with inter-agency Recovery Coach/Case Manager to ensure wraparound treatment and services when appropriate. 



  • Regularly attend staff meetings and is prepared to discuss issues that affect clients, staff, the agency and the community if needed  



  • Prepares case presentations for weekly treatment team and clinical supervision. 



  • Participates in child and family team meetings and court proceedings as necessary for client care. 



  • Participates in 24-hour on-call rotation. 



  • Collaborate with community partners including DCS, Juvenile Probations officersschool officials, family members, and other health agencies regarding comprehensive care and client needs and conditions 



  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed. 


 


 


Minimum Requirements 


 



  • Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, psychology or related field. 



  • Professional clinical licensure by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (i.e., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, etc.) is preferred. Associate level licensure will be considered. 



  • Previous experience with clients impacted by substance use disorder preferred.  



  • Ability to assess and coordinate the treatment needs for complex family systems. 



  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds. 



  • Adheres to the Professional Standards Agreement. 



  • 2 years of like social service experience in his/hers/their respective discipline. 



  • Ability to assess and coordinate the treatment needs for complex family systems. 



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are important. 



  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
