Description

The position in the Bronx Day Treatment Program is a 12-month, school-based program located within a Department of Education elementary and/or middle school building in the Bronx.  We provide individual, group, and family therapy within a milieu setting. Astor’s Bronx Day Treatment Program serves youth grades K- 8. In addition, we provide behavioral support and psychiatric services on-site. The position requires the Clinician to collaborate with the various families, Astor personnel, NYC Department of Education personnel, and external service providers to ensure that the client is meeting their full potential.  The Clinician is responsible for developing treatment plans and individual crisis management plans with the collaboration of the identified treatment team.  The program works a 35- hour/week schedule (8am – 4pm) and generally follows a school recess calendar.

LMSW, MHC, LMHC.
