Job Description - Clinton Lead Account Manager

We’re looking for a seasoned Lead Account Manager ready to take on a meaningful role in our Clinton office—with the confidence to manage a busy book of business and the ambition to grow a leadership position. This role isn’t for beginners or those still learning the ropes. If you’ve only dabbled in P&C or come from a strictly life insurance background, this probably isn’t your fit.

This isn't a data-entry desk job. We're seeking initiative, and a high bar for client service. You’ll be responsible for managing and retaining a portion of our existing personal lines book, driving new business, rounding accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carrier partners. If you’ve got hustle, people skills, and the drive to evolve into a leadership role without losing your hands-on expertise—we want to hear from you.

You’re not just joining one of Mississippi’s largest agencies. Pyron Group is an affiliate of Leavitt Group. As a national company, Leavitt Group is the 19th largest privately-held insurance agency brokerage in the nation, with over 250 locations across 27 states. We broker commercial and personal lines insurance which manages the risk for individuals and businesses. We are appointed with the top insurance markets and enjoy exclusive representation with multiple insurance companies.

What You’ll Do

Book Management & Client Service

  • Maintain and grow an assigned personal lines book of business alongside veteran team members.

  • Deliver high-touch service to clients, solving issues, advising on coverage, and ensuring renewals go smoothly.

  • Keep retention numbers strong by staying proactive and responsive.

Sales & Production

  • Pursue new business opportunities—both from within the book and through outside prospecting.

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and close sales with confidence.

  • Earn commissions on new business while earning a stable base salary for book servicing.

Leadership Potential

  • Over time, step into a team leadership role—mentoring others, guiding strategy, and elevating client service.

  • Always keep a hand in the day-to-day book management to stay sharp and grounded.

Carrier & Internal Relationships

  • Work directly with carrier reps to place coverage, negotiate terms, and strengthen our partnerships.

  • Collaborate with teammates to handle marketing, billing, and renewal work efficiently.

Process & Compliance

  • Document everything in the agency management system accurately and on time.

  • Follow established workflows and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.

Professional Development

  • Stay current on market trends, products, and licensing through ongoing training and CE.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3+ years of personal lines P&C insurance experience (this is a must).

  • Proven ability to manage a book of business while producing new business.

  • A communicator who builds trust with clients and works well with a team.

  • Comfortable with modern insurance technology and client systems.

  • Someone who wants more than just a “job”—you’re looking to build a career.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

3+ years of experience working with an independent agency or brokerage

License/Certification

Active Property and Casualty License in MS or the ability to be licensed quickly

Skills

  • Exceptional telephone and written communications demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Schedule

8 hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
