Cashier - Closing Shift

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Closing Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and secure closing of our store operations at the end of each day. Key Responsibilities:

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently during the closing shift

- Count cash drawers and reconcile register totals at the end of each shift

- Ensure all sales are properly recorded and documented

- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area

- Assist with closing procedures, including securing cash and merchandise

- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally

- Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling and security

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and responsibly during closing hours

- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

- Ability to handle cash securely and responsibly

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain high level of customer service.
• Register sales on cash register.
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check, charge, or credit card payments from customers and makes change for cash customers if necessary. 
• Maintain a positive work environment for all team members.
• Balance cash drawer at end of shift.
• Generate accurate till reports for each register.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 
• Perform procedures to ensure store is clean and stocked. 

Qualifications

• Some high school education preferred.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and problem-solve.
