Cloud Applications Developers

The position involves the design, dvlpmt, testing, deployment, & support of enterprise sftwr apps using .NET & cloud tech. Duties incl:

• Design, dvlp, & deploy scalable web & enterprise apps using .NET tech & Azure cloud platforms.
• Dvlp & maintain apps supporting hybrid cloud environments w/ integration between cloud-based systms & on-premises data sources.
• Design & implement multi-tier app architecture using Srvc-Oriented Architecture (SOA) & N-tier design principles.
• Dvlp RESTful APIs & web srvcs using ASP.NET Web API, WCF, & rel Microsoft frameworks.
• Build & maintain data access layers using Entity Framework (Code First & Database First) & LINQ.
• Dvlp dynamic web apps using ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, & JSON.
• Design, dvlp, & optimize database solutions using MS SQL Server & Oracle, incl stored procedures, queries, & data models.
• Dvlp ETL processes & reporting solutions using SQL Server - Integration Srvcs (SSIS), Analysis Srvcs (SSAS), & Reporting Srvcs (SSRS).
• Create dashboards & data visualization reports using Microsoft reporting tools & third-party UI components such as Telerik, Infragistics, & Dundas controls.
• Dvlp automation scripts using PowerShell for app deployment & environment mgmt.
• Participate in full Sftwr Dvlpmt Life Cycle (SDLC), including req’mts analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, & documentation.
• Work in Agile/Scrum dvlpmt environments, incl sprint planning, code reviews, & iterative delivery cycles.
• Perform unit testing, regression testing, & end-to-end testing to ensure app quality & performance.
• Manage source control & versioning using Git, Team Foundation Server (TFS/VSTS), & Visual SourceSafe.
• Support build, release, & deployment activities across dvlpmt, test, production, & validation environments.
• Dvlp desktop & client-server apps using C#, WinForms, WPF, & ADO.NET.
• Participate in object-oriented analysis & design (OOA/OOD), incl UML modeling & system documentation.
• Implement & support enterprise app frameworks using reusable design patterns such as Factory, Observer, Command, & Template patterns.
• Support enterprise systms incl Microsoft Dynamics AX & supply chain mgmt solutions.
• Contribute to migration & re-engineering initiatives, incl modernization of legacy apps into .NET-based architectures.
• Troubleshoot app issues, optimize performance, & ensure system reliability in production environments.
• Collab w/ cross-functional teams to analyze business req’mts & deliver technical solutions within defined timelines.

May perform some or all of above tasks depending on scope of each project assignment.

RELOCATION REQ’MTS: 

Relocation to various unanticipated client sites across USA required up to 4 times per year.

EDUCATION REQ’MTS:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equiv.) in Computer Science or any IT related field, any Engineering / Technology field, or related.

EXPERIENCE REQ’MTS:

Must have at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered including with the following technologies:

Programming Languages: C#, SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), JavaScript, VB.NET (Legacy Support)

Web Tech: ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, XML, XSLT

.NET Tech: .NET Framework (1.1 to 4.5), ADO.NET, Entity Framework, WCF, Windows Communication Foundation Services

Databases: MS SQL Server (2000–2012), Oracle 

Cloud Tech: MS Azure, SQL Azure, Windows Azure Srvcs, Hybrid Cloud Architecture

Reporting & BI Tools: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS

Development Tools: Visual Studio (2003–2013), PowerShell Scripting Tools

Version Control & ALM Tools: Git, Team Foundation Server (TFS/VSTS), Visual SourceSafe

Methodologies: Agile (Scrum), SDLC, Object-Oriented Design (OOD)

Protocols & Standards: HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST Architecture

UI/Third-Party Components: Telerik Rad Controls, Infragistics, Dundas Charts
