Job Description - Cloud Architect

Full time/ direct hire position available at a leading health care organization in Rochester, MI! Position is remote but must be local to MI for escalations and occasional on site.
Salary Range:
Median - $126,900
Maximum - $149,739
Target is median salary range.
Team works in two distinct roles: Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Services.
Looking for someone to assist mainly on the cloud services with potential to be assigned other tasks outside of that scope but still within job scope.
Candidates with previous healthcare experience are preferred, but it is not required. Candidates must be comfortable working in the healthcare space - operating in the grey.
Manager is Specifically Looking for:
Expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure on both Azure and AWS platforms.
Experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable solutions in Azure and AWS environments.
Experience in cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and VPN/Express Route connections in both Azure and AWS.
Understanding of cloud security best practices and hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance standards in Azure and AWS.
Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud services performance, including compute, storage, and database resources, using native and third-party monitoring tools.
Understanding of CSP governance and best practice for resource creation organization, and management
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Solution architecture is the process of developing solutions based on predefined processes, guidelines and best practices with the objective that the developed solution fits within the enterprise architecture in terms of information architecture, system portfolios, integration requirements and many more. As an I.T. Solution Architect this position will be responsible for collaborating across teams to plan and design I.T solutions and services. The candidates responsibilities will range from global planning and project execution, to maintaining the Enterprise Architecture Repository. The candidate will coordinate with functional Architects, I.T. Managers, Project Managers and Vendors to deliver solution designs to leadership for approval as part of the HFHS I.T. project lifecycle.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement Enterprise Architecture repository - Project Design Assets, Technology Standards, Risks Tracking, Score Cards, SBARS, Technical Strategy, Quoting Templates, RFI Responses.
Manage Enterprise Architecture repository workflow including change management.
Enterprise Architecture repository annual audit/cleanup.
Own enterprise architecture standards lifecycle.
Integrate Disaster Recovery into all aspects of solution design work.
Ability to create formal executive level summaries and recommendations.
Ability to work well in a weak matrix environment is a must, collaborating closely with other technical architects will be a primary role for this position.
Ability to review complex IT infrastructure deliverables, provide direction, ensure concurrence between technical teams.
Stays current on technology trends, future releases, vendor roadmaps, product lifecycles. Recommends upgrades and new technology that can bring enhanced functionality, cost savings and reduced risk.
Formally documents and raises all technology risks, work with functional architects and vendors to design, document and implement exceptions to system standards. (i.e. software out of support, capacity issues, stability issues, security issues, nonstandard vendor requirements, etc.)
Mentor I.T. Architects and System Engineers. Create learning opportunities and work with Engineers to map out career paths into the Architecture space.
Create, modify, support Azure resources
Monitor Azure/AWS consoles for alerts
Process ticket queue for Azure/AWS requests
Level 1 cloud infrastructure support
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree or 15+ Years IT Experience
10+ years of IT experience
Ability to work nights and weekends when required
Working knowledge of cloud concepts and console (Azure/AWS)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Technical Certifications ITIL certifications PMP certification
Position is remote, but candidates are required to be local to the Rochester Hills, MI area as they may be needed on site for escalations.

REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree (can sub for 15+ years of IT experience), 10+ years IT experience, Ability to work nights and weekends when required, Ability to take call rotation, Working knowledge of cloud concepts and console (Azure/AWS), Excellent communication skills, Local to Rochester Hills Michigan area.
