Cloud Engineer

Emerald Zebra is seeking a Cloud Engineer with Data Analytical Expertise to join a pioneering broker solutions provider in Larnaca. In your new role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure and developing data dashboards to provide actionable insights. You should have a strong understanding of cloud platforms, data analysis techniques, and experience with modern visualization tools to transform complex data into clear, user-friendly dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Design & Implementation:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) for efficient data storage and processing.

• Ensure the cloud environment is secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Integrate cloud-based services with existing on-premise or hybrid solutions.

Data Engineering & Management:

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build and optimize data pipelines.
• Manage and process large datasets in cloud environments (e.g., using ETL processes).
• Implement data warehousing solutions that support analytics and reporting.

Data Visualization & Dashboard Development:

• Design and develop interactive data dashboards using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or custom web solutions.
• Work with business stakeholders to define key metrics, KPIs, and data requirements for dashboards.
• Ensure dashboards are optimized for performance and user experience.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, business analysts, product managers) to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide training and documentation for dashboard usage and data interpretation.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct data analysis to uncover insights and trends that drive business decisions.
• Create automated reporting systems for stakeholders to monitor data in real-time.

Cloud and Data Optimization:

• Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize data processes for performance and cost efficiency. Ensure data integrity and quality across cloud systems and dashboards.

About you:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience (3+ years) in computing platforms such as, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure.

• Strong knowledge of data analytics, including SQL, data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or custom web-based solutions (D3.js, Grafana).

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or similar languages for data processing and cloud automation.

• Experience with APIs for data integration and cloud services.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud security best practices, and cloud monitoring tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with machine learning or AI models and integrating them into cloud-based environments.
• Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.

Information:

• Salary Range, depending on experience and qualifications: 35K to 40K gross, per year.
