BDR is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual's home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented Cloud Engineer with expertise in both AWS and Azure platforms, coupled with strong skills in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, particularly for mobile applications, and possess proficient knowledge in Java backend development with Spring Boot framework. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure solutions to support our diverse range of applications and services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on both AWS and Azure platforms.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration tasks.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications using GitLab CI/CD.
- Implement best practices for CI/CD pipeline configuration, including automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments.
- Optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability.
- Work closely with DevOps and development teams to streamline software delivery processes and improve deployment efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and software development.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ of years of experience and other qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud migration
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Extensive experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with mobile app CI/CD pipeline setup and configuration.
- Solid understanding of Java backend development, particularly with Spring Boot framework.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting government contracts
- AWS and/or Azure certification(s) is highly desired
