Clubhouse Attendant - Kopf Family Golf Course at Cherry Ridge

Lorain County Metro Parks is currently seeking a clubhouse attendant for the Kopf Family Golf Course at Cherry Ridge. The attendant will operate a point-of-sale register/tablet to sell merchandise, greens fees, and beverages. The attendant provides excellent guest service in all sales transactions, while also greeting guests and answering calls. We are seeking individuals who are available to work a flexible schedule, have knowledge of golf, and have previous retail and cashier experience, which is a plus.

RATE OF PAY: $11 to $12 per hour, commensurate with the employee’s experience.

HOURS: Up to 28 hours per week.

• Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the clubhouse, accurately ringing up charges at the register and properly checking in all golfers prior to play. This also includes proper cash handling procedures in accordance with LCMP policies.
• Respond to inquiries and make tee times; both in person and over the phone. Converse with guests in a friendly manner. Focus attention on guest needs while remaining professional and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
• Responsible for inventory and organization of storage and display areas. Keep up inventory levels of constantly stocked items (ie. shirts, gloves, balls, food, beverages, etc.).
• Responsible for marshaling, starting, and outside services as needed and requested.
• Promote the game of golf and the course while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service.
• Perform open/close clubhouse functions following guidelines and procedures established by the course.
• Responsible for ensuring all daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet course standards (ie orderly/organized work areas, straightening/arranging entry area, straightening /stocking, etc.).
• Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Lorain County Metro Parks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
• Provides outstanding customer service to all customers and the general public.
• Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers, and the public.
• Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
• Must be 18 or older
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. New employees must satisfactorily complete a background check. Lorain County Metropolitan Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who are tobacco users.
