This is a 15-hour, 3-days per week mental health “peer” position. Our peers have “lived experience” with mental health and they feel comfortable working with individuals with chronic mental illness often complicated by persistent homelessness, substance abuse, chronic medical problems and criminal justice involvement. Our peers provide on-the-job training and at ZSFG in a variety of hospital-based services and small businesses that include: coffee and hot dog carts, sewing, administrative assistant training and our clothing and book donation program.
