About the Role:

As a CNA at Silverton Health and Rehabilitation, you will provide basic nursing assistance and support residents with daily living activities under supervision. Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to nurse call systems to determine resident needs.
• Assisting residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence care.
• Obtaining food trays and assisting residents with eating.
• Helping residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchairs or activity areas.
• Assisting residents with turning and positioning in bed and ambulation as indicated.
• Taking and recording vital signs, food, and fluid intake/output as directed.
• Documenting activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and device use on flow sheets or task sheets.
• Attending interdisciplinary meetings to provide input into selected residents' care plans.
• Providing person-centered care based on indicated preferences.
• Ensuring punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Licenses/Certification

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
• Valid CPR certificate preferred.

Experience

• Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred.

NOTE: A CNA who successfully completes an approved advanced skills training curriculum and/or has demonstrated experience in a needed clinical specialty area, e.g. ventilator, pulmonary, and tracheostomy (VPT), can be classified as a CNA II.
