CNA Job Qualifications

Education/Training: 

• Satisfactory completion of the approved Indiana State Board of Health (ISDH) 105 Hour Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent.


• CNA license/certification must be active and in good standing with the state registry and must be maintained in accordance with the ISDH requirements.

Experience: 

• One (1) year experience in a long-term care facility or health care setting preferred.


• Memory Care experience highly preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.


• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.


• Strong communication skills.


• Understanding of the basic needs and concerns of the elderly with the ability to patiently handle various resident behaviors.


• Basic computer skills.
