CNA with Registered Medication Aide Certification

Primary Duties:

1. Administering Medications

2. Monitoring Patients

3. Documenting Medication Administration

5. Preparing Medications

6. Ensuring Compliance with Regulations

8. Supporting and working with CNA staff when not performing Med Tech duties

9. Following Infection Control Protocols

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current certifications in CPR and First Aid or completed within the first 6 months.

• 40 hours of direct care training or willingness to complete within the first 90 days of employment.

• Experience with and/or knowledge of older adults and their special needs, as well as individuals with a developmental/intellectual disability.

• Ability to plan and implement the program, delegate appropriately.

• Physical capacity necessary to assist and support clients (able to lift 30#), good physical coordination to demonstrate or participate in recreational activities.

• Computer skills required.

• Reliable, demonstrate sound judgment, flexibility, and strong written and oral communication skills.

• Patience, tact, and persuasion when working with people who have a variety of special needs, able to demonstrate ingenuity, a sense of humor, and imagination to adapt activities to individual needs.

• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate appropriate skills in delegation, planning of, preparation for, and carrying out of activities.

• Clear police background check per state regulation
